Beyond Happiness with Bali Coconut Living Charity

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is an important element within Bali Coconut Living’s corporate framework. On January 19th, 2024, the management team and staff of Bali’s leading property agent and villa management company came together for a heartwarming social event that focused on giving back to the community and those in need.

On this day, the team visited the Metta Mama & Maggha Foundation, a non-profit organization caring for abandoned mothers and babies in need. The team distributed essential items that are much needed by the babies and moms at the foundation such as fresh fruits, vegetables, rice and meats, as well as a financial donation for the foundation’s upkeep and care. This endeavor reflects Bali Coconut Living's core values and commitment to give back to those most in need in the community that it is involved in.

Throughout the day spent at the Metta Mama & Maggha Foundation, the management team and staff of Bali Coconut Living learned all about the foundation and its residences. They met with the babies and spoke to staff members and some of the moms who were present, learning their stories and getting to know each unique individual being cared for by the foundation. The Bali Coconut Living team also participated in fun activities with various games and storytelling.

The Metta Mama & Maggha Foundation cares for abandoned mothers and babies in Denpasar - Bali and provides a Safe House where their mental, physical and emotional needs are met. The foundation strives to provide a safe and comfortable environment where rejected expectant mothers feel safe and cared for and learn to harness the ability to move forward in their lives.

The foundation runs various programs within its facilities to support the growth and development of both moms and babies. In addition to basic needs like raw materials for cooking, soap and maternity clothes, the Metta Mama and Maggha Foundation also provides psychological counseling, emergency polyclinic services and activities like pregnancy yoga led by certified midwives.

Throughout the duration of their stay at the Safe House, the moms are encouraged to stay active and participate in activities like reading, baking, cooking, painting, sewing, knitting and more. Special classes are on offer, including Cooking Classes, Soap Making Classes, Ceramic Workshops, Perfume Workshops, Essential Oil Workshops and more.

The Metta Mama and Maggha Foundation was founded by a teenager named Maggha Karaneya Kang in 2014. If you’d like to learn more about the foundation and how it helps abandoned mothers and babies, please visit their website at mamamagghafoundation.org.
